One peaceful night, Usayd ibn Hudayr (may Allah be pleased with him) was deeply immersed in reciting Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) with his horse beside him. Suddenly, the horse became frightened, interrupting Usayd’s heartfelt recitation. Concerned for his son, Yahya, who was nearby, Usayd paused to check on him, glancing up at the sky. What he saw was astonishing—a canopy of light that seemed to rise and disappear. The next morning, he shared his experience with the Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who revealed the incredible truth: the light was a gathering of Angels drawn to Usayd’s beautiful voice. Discover how the power of recitation connects the unseen world to our own and the blessings that come with faith. This story is authentic, told to us by the noble Companions of the Prophet (may Allah be pleased with them), and was collected by Imam Bukhari and by Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on them both) in their Sahihs.
